The State Board of Examiners approved two tort claim settlements at its Oct. 14, 2025 meeting, the board said.
The board voted to approve a $160,000 settlement for claimant Vanessa Lozano and a $4,600,000 settlement for Annette Walker, individually and as administrator for the estate of Christian Walker. Both items were presented by the Attorney General's Office and considered for possible action under NRS 41.036.
Board staff read the amounts on the record and the board moved for approval by voice vote. Member Cisco moved to approve each claim; no second was recorded on the transcript. The motions passed by voice vote.
