The Sarpy County Board of Commissioners on Oct. 14 approved awarding the low bid for the 190 Second Street structures replacement and paving project to Emmy Collins Contracting Company Inc., and authorized a professional-services supplement with JEO Consulting Group for construction administration.
County Deputy Administrator Scott Bovec told commissioners the work covers replacement of bridges (bridges 172 and 173) on 190 Second Street north of Platte Road and associated paving. “The engineer’s estimate was about $4,800,000. The low bidder was $3,702,917.60,” Bovec said. He said the county received 12 bids and the highest bid was about $4.5 million.
