Infrastructure report: sheriff’s office addition nears finish, tax office work progresses; Pleasanton M E site readied

Atascosa County staff provided a monthly infrastructure update on Oct. 14 and commissioners accepted the report.

Curtis Vickers (county infrastructure staff) told the court the sheriff’s office addition is nearing completion, with interior finish work, rooftop units and exterior roof systems being installed. Flooring installation will follow once the space is conditioned. Work on the tax-office addition has advanced: interior demolition is complete, tile is installed and exterior concrete repairs are finished; electricians are completing new runs and power is expected to be connected shortly.

The M E (medical examiner) building site in Pleasanton has its pad and parking blue-topped and is ready to form; city permitting will determine the timing for some flat work. Vickers said crews expect the training-room furniture and other equipment to be ordered; commissioners discussed adjustments to a furniture quote to remove units no longer needed.
