Atascosa County commissioners on Oct. 14 approved a vendor quote from TransUnion for TLOxp online investigative services for the county’s four constables at a quoted annual cost of $1,620.
Justin Vasquez of county IT told the court that Constable Salazar (Precinct 2) had trialed the software and IT solicited interest from all constables; each expressed interest in acquiring the tool. Vasquez described TLOxp as a tool to locate people, properties and businesses, confirm identities, detect fraud, check records for liens and judgments, and assist with investigative and civil-location tasks.
Why it matters: The software is intended for law-enforcement investigative support across the four constable offices. Commissioners approved the quote on the condition noted on the record that the county attorney would review the vendor agreement before the county judge signs it.
County Attorney review: A county attorney representative pointed out that the court could approve the quote but asked that the agreement itself be reviewed prior to signature. The judge concurred.
Ending: The court approved the quote by voice vote; the county attorney will review the agreement before signature by the county judge.
