Committee members noted the change is modest in dollar terms (an $8-per-day increase was discussed as a comparison) and does not pose significant budgetary risk.
Committee member Ms. McDade said the subcommittee had already edited the document to reference the GSA rate rather than a specific dollar figure. The committee agreed the revised language should be folded into the final policy and returned for a vote at the next meeting (a motion was made to reflect the subcommittee's change). No roll-call vote was taken on the policy language on Oct. 14 because this was the second read; the policy will be placed on a future agenda for adoption.
