Boyle County fiscal court proclaims October as Extension Homemakers and Breast Cancer Awareness months; approves Mimi White for ethics commission

Boyle County Fiscal Court read and approved a proclamation recognizing Kentucky Extension Homemakers Week and a resolution proclaiming October 2025 as Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Boyle County.

During the meeting Judge Executive Pro Tem Tom B. Ellis read the Extension Homemakers proclamation, which cited the Kentucky Extension Homemakers Association's statewide membership and the Boyle County chapter's volunteer hours and community service. The court approved the proclamation by voice vote.

The meeting also included a resolution recognizing October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Judge Executive Pro Tem Ellis read the resolution and the court adopted it following a motion by Magistrate Adam Bodnar and a second by Magistrate Sleeper. Members spoke in support, noting advances in early detection and treatment and encouraging community participation in awareness activities.

The court also approved the appointment of Mimi White to the Boyle County Ethics Commission. The court moved and seconded the appointment and approved it by voice vote; White said she was "glad to be here" and could begin immediately.

Ending: Both proclamations and the ethics commission appointment were approved by the court; there were no recorded dissenting votes.
