Real Property launches online records system; Legislature backs Energy Choice Act resolution

Ray Ward, director of Real Property, announced a soft launch of the county’s new Property Record Online System (PROS) on Sept. 15 and said the service is linked to the county web map to display parcel-level tax information including school and village taxes that previously were not shown online.
“...we did a soft launch on September 15, and everybody we've heard virtually no complaints from the general public and our clients that are using,” Ward said, describing the new interface and improved workflow for the department.
Separately, the Government Operations committee presented and the Legislature passed a resolution supporting Congressman Nick Langworthy’s Energy Choice Act (H.R. 3699). The text offered to the Legislature described the position as opposition to government-mandated natural gas bans; legislators voted in favor of the resolution during the meeting.
Why this matters: The PROS system changes how the public and staff access parcel and tax data online, potentially improving transparency and administrative workflow. The Energy Choice Act resolution signals the Legislature’s policy stance on federal energy policy but does not change local law.
