Tony (last name not specified), the county’s health and wellness outreach coordinator, described the Lunch and Learn sessions as monthly educational events focused on health and wellness topics. He told the court the program aims to give employees "one pearl of wisdom" from each session and shared that an employee who attended an ergonomics session subsequently found relief: "A gal, she's had terrible pain since she was a child ... and she went to the lunch and learn ... and she's pain free for the first time in her life." The court recognized the HR team, IT staff and other departments that support the program.
County staff also described Find Help, a cross-jurisdictional online resource directory the county purchased with partner cities. "It looks like 40,000 searches and 36,000 individual users have accessed this site," said Matt (county staff). He told the court that the platform updates resource data in near real time and improves with search activity and AI-driven optimization.
Commissioner Edmondson moved to accept the two awards; Commissioner Mitchell seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
