Polk County School District officials described an expanded communications campaign for employee health-plan open enrollment on Oct. 14, but board members pressed staff to lengthen the enrollment window and improve customer service.
Linda King, senior director for risk management employee benefits, told the school board the district had increased outreach this year and worked with Public Relations and internal teams after last year’s effort “was essentially nonexistent,” she said. King said district staff and outside vendor Quantum were used for outreach and that the district held benefit fairs across the county and tracked sign-ins.
