The county manager asked the board to add a resolution requesting that Sawyer Mill Road be added to the state secondary road system to the consent agenda for consideration at next week’s meeting.
The manager reminded commissioners that Trash Bash volunteer activities continue in October and asked commissioners to coordinate volunteers through the Soil and Water office. He also noted an economic-development update is scheduled for Nov. 13 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Campbell University and said commissioners should have received an invitation.
The manager placed an informational handout from the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners on commissioners’ desks summarizing county trends, including population growth: a 17.7% increase in Harnett County since 2015, he said.
