The Lyon County Planning Commission on Oct. 14 voted 7-0 to forward a recommendation of approval to the Board of County Commissioners for a zoning map amendment requested by CHM Homes Inc. The change would rezone a 2.13-acre parcel at 10020 East Highway 50 in Mound House (APN 01608102) from the Title 10 M-1 General Industrial District to the Title 15 LI-S (Light Industrial Suburban) district.
County Senior Planner Louis Carillo told commissioners the site, currently used as a Clayton Homes sales office and display lot, is legally existing but nonconforming under the current heavy-industrial zoning.
