Bee Cave council approves committee ordinance, Placer AI subscription and dispatch agreement extension; assistant city manager appointment approved

The Bee Cave City Council at its Oct. 14 meeting approved multiple routine and administrative items, all by unanimous votes.
The council adopted Ordinance No. 588 to codify the formation and scope of city council committees and to limit committee membership to no more than three councilmembers. Staff said the ordinance formalizes existing practice; council discussion noted that committees serve in an advisory capacity and must have defined scopes. The motion carried unanimously.
The council also adopted Resolution No. 2025-53 approving a subscription to the Placer AI geolocation data service for the Bee Cave Development Corporation (BCDC). Staff described Placer AI as an anonymized geofencing analytics tool that can provide origin-destination and visitation patterns for events and businesses.
