The Garden Grove City Council approved a written request from LFA Group LLC to extend operating hours at the Garden Amp on New Year's Eve, Dec. 31, 2025, and granted an exemption to the city's noise ordinance to allow higher noise levels between 10 p.m. and 12:15 a.m.
Community Services Director John Montanches told the council that under the current facility use agreement the Garden Amp is permitted to operate until 10 p.m., and that LFA has served as the city's production partner for the festival amphitheater since 2017. Staff noted the city has previously granted similar exceptions for New Year's Eve events in 2023 and 2024.
Montanches said the request would have no financial impact to the city and that LFA would reimburse the city for direct costs associated with police, public works and other staff support. After brief comments from council members supporting the request, the council voted unanimously in favor of the extension and noise exemption.
The council did not record additional conditions or monitoring requirements on the exemption during the meeting.
