Meeting roundup: minutes approved; two petitions continued; BZA calendar approved

The Town of Zionsville Board of Zoning Appeals opened its October meeting by approving the minutes from its September meeting, continued two dockets related to code-enforcement matters to the board’s November meeting, and approved the BZA 2026 calendar.

At the start of the meeting a board member moved to approve the September minutes as written; the motion passed. The board then took a procedural action to continue two petitions (docket numbers 2025-31-UV and 2025-32-UV) at the petitioner’s first request; staff said the continuances are automatic under the board’s rules and the items were continued to the November 4 meeting so petitioners can submit a complete package including any requested variances from development standards.

Near the end of the meeting the board voted to approve the BZA calendar for 2026 as presented.
