The remarks focused on Warren’s long career and reputation. “I protected 5 presidents of The United States, many heads of foreign countries, to include Queen Elizabeth, the pope, you know, pope John Paul the second,” said Speaker 1, a former U.S. Secret Service agent who described being recruited into the agency after earning athletic scholarships and completing graduate study. Another attendee praised Warren’s professionalism: “He had a fantastic reputation in the Secret Service, could not ask for a better mentor than Bob Warren,” said Speaker 4.
Speakers described Warren’s early years in athletics and education as formative. Speaker 1 said he competed in track and field and football and received an athletic scholarship to Northeast Missouri State, which Speaker 1 noted is now known as Truman State University. Attendees also recounted Warren’s mentoring style and humility. “His ability to be humble about what he’s achieved back in his high school days, in his college days, and his in his professional life, humbleness is a is a major attribute,” said Speaker 4.

Speaker 1 said he took a role as chief security officer at a private corporation after retiring from the Secret Service and described responsibilities for protecting hazardous materials and global facilities. The event included personal reflections on Warren’s character and impact. “Man, he’s just a person that people gravitate to. He, is a caring, giving person,” said Speaker 3. Several speakers described being moved by the tribute; Speaker 1 said the recognition was “a great honor” and “moving.”
