Council approves consent agenda, bill list and forwards zoning amendment to planners; all measures pass unanimously

Consent agenda: Council approved a seven-item consent agenda, including approval of minutes; Bethel Trails residential development bond reduction request No. 5; Miners Park bathroom change orders; 2025 road program pay application; 2024 road program change order and pay application; 2025 storm sewer CCTV and cleaning contract pay application; and 2025 sanitary sewer projects change order and pay application. The motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Councilmember Consulmagno and seconded by Councilmember Janicek; the roll call vote was 9-0 in favor.
Bills and payroll: Council approved bill list 20251013 in the amount of $1,622,197.24. Councilmember Consulmagno moved the item and Councilmember Jenkins seconded. During discussion council noted the amount is roughly the borough's monthly average; the motion carried on a roll call vote of 9-0.
Zoning amendment (adaptive reuse): Councilmember Jenkins moved and Councilmember Consulmagno seconded a motion to authorize staff to send the proposed zoning ordinance amendment for "adaptive reuse" (Ordinance No. 10-13-25A) to the Planning & Zoning Commission and to county planning for comment, with a public hearing to be scheduled later once comments are received. The motion passed on a roll call vote of 9-0.
