The council presented Rivard with a certificate and an “above and beyond” recognition coin; the city manager also gave Rivard a gift card to Texas Roadhouse. Rivard said, "I'm just doing my job." Mayor Blake and council members joined the acknowledgement and asked staff to present the recognition publicly.
