Superintendent announces retirement for July 2026; board to begin search with consultant

The search firm was described as the consultant the board will use to solicit community input, build a candidate profile, and support the board’s hiring process.
Dr. Hanahan said community input will be sought via an online survey and community forums; board members asked the public to participate when details are released. Board members praised the superintendent’s service and thanked her for the early notice so the board can conduct a deliberate search.
There was no vote on a final candidate at the meeting; the search resolution appears on the agenda and the district said details about the survey and forums will be shared with the community.
