The Kenai Peninsula Borough finance committee on Oct. 14 placed four letters of non-objection on the consent agenda for submission to state licensing boards.

Staff told the committee they had reviewed applications and recommended no objection for a new limited marijuana cultivation facility for Casiloff River Aero Gardens LLC (license 40302) and for restaurant endorsements for Sunrise Holdings LLC (Sunrise Inn, Cooper Landing; license 1096), Seward Eateries LLC (Los Cenotes restaurant and cantina, license 876) and Angry Salmon LLC (The Angry Salmon, Anchor Point; license 1309). Planning commission review produced no objections for the marijuana application.

Clerk Turner confirmed finance and planning reviews found no objections. Committee members noted a drafting oversight in the memo for the Angry Salmon application: the memo erroneously referenced employment by persons under 21 even though the applicant did not check the employment box on its application. Clerk Turner agreed to revise the memo to match the application.

All four items were placed on the consent agenda for assembly consideration; no committee vote was recorded in the finance-committee transcript.
