Procurement reported that the on‑call parking lot rehabilitation services contract with DNR Construction of Lexington was originally approved on Nov. 30, 2021, for two years with options to extend up to three additional one‑year periods. The contract went into effect Dec. 12, 2021 and currently expires Dec. 11, 2025; staff requested the third and final extension from Dec. 12, 2025 through Dec. 11, 2026. Staff estimated the contract’s annual value at $100,000 and reported no issues. Council moved and approved the extension.
Procurement and EMS next requested an additional one‑year extension for multiple medical supply contracts used by EMS: Boundtree Medical; Henry Schein; Life Assist; Nashville EMS Supply; School Health; and SZY Holdings. These contracts were originally approved Dec. 6, 2023 for one year with options to extend up to four additional one‑year periods; they went into effect Jan. 1, 2024 and currently expire Dec. 31, 2025. Staff requested extension from Jan. 1, 2026 through Dec. 31, 2026. Staff estimated the combined annual value at approximately $347,000 and reported no issues; council approved the extension by voice vote.
The committee then went into executive session for an attorney‑client legal briefing pursuant to state code (30‑4‑78(2)). The committee announced a 20‑minute executive session and stated that no votes would be taken during the closed session; staff subsequently returned and the meeting proceeded.
Ending: Both contract extensions were approved and will be processed by procurement and the responsible departments; the legal briefing was held in executive session with no public votes.
