Jennifer Wadsworth, policy adviser, explained that changes made in August to the school climate survey (r 277623) required updates in r 277325 to remove references to June 2023 and to clarify the alternating-year schedule. Atiana Colley Mills, who oversees the exit and engagement survey, explained the difference between the instruments: the exit survey is administered to educators who leave LEA positions during the year; the engagement survey is administered to current teachers on an alternating schedule and will be administered again in winter 2026.
Formal action: A committee member moved that the committee approve r 2 7 7 3 2 5 on first reading and forward it to the board for final approval on second and final reading. The committee voted in favor; the chair noted the motion passed unanimously.
