Staff provided administrative updates at the Oct. 7 Denison Historic Preservation Board meeting, reporting three signage approvals completed administratively during the period and announcing the board's scheduled Nov. 4 meeting will be canceled because the courtroom will be in use that day. Staff also told members that a proposed sign ordinance in chapter 19 was tabled at city council and rescheduled for the council's Nov. 3 meeting; the staff said HP ordinance work will follow council action.
A staff member made the announcements; board members acknowledged the cancellation and the scheduling note. One board member quipped that Nov. 4 is also a city resident's birthday (Stan), and another remarked about election-day propositions when members discussed the calendar. Staff said the preservation ordinance work is awaiting council action before returning items to the Historic Preservation Board.
The board adjourned at 12:22 p.m.
