The Michigan House of Representatives did not reach a quorum during its sitting and was adjourned until Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025, at 1:30 p.m., the clerk announced.

A House member declared, “Mister speaker, a quorum of the house is not present.” The clerk then ordered the session suspended and said, “There being the lack of a quorum, the house will stand adjourned until Wednesday, 10/15/2025 at 01:30PM.”

Because a quorum was not present, no legislative business or recorded votes were taken during the sitting. The adjournment means the House will reconvene at the stated date and time unless other procedural steps are taken beforehand.

The clerk is responsible for reopening the electronic attendance board and announcing attendance when the House reconvenes.
