Airport staff told the Council they received two proposals during an RFP process to lease Hangars 1 and 3 at Lynchburg Regional Airport and recommended awarding the lease to Freedom Aviation.

Staff said the current lease expired in June 2025 and the recommended new agreement would be a five-year lease beginning Jan. 1, 2026. The proposed rent is $7,000 per month with escalator clauses.

The recommendation will be presented at the councils public hearing later that night; staff noted the full lease is included in the meeting packet for review.
