Westminster High student ambassador reports on new homecoming traditions, carnival

Fernanda Galvin, the Westminster High School student ambassador, presented to the board on Oct. 14 on student activities including a new homecoming carnival and other traditions.
Galvin, a sophomore and student council president, said an estimated 300 to 400 people attended the homecoming carnival, which included games, face painting, sports clinics and performances. She described efforts to improve communication and participation for future events.
Galvin also reported that cross-country runners visited the opposing school and ran the game ball back to Westminster High School — a roughly 6-mile run — and that the WHS football team beat Northglenn 28–7.
