Chairman Giebert to step down from chairmanship; committee to hold election in January

Committee members acknowledged Giebert’s offer to support a transition and discussed eligibility: one member noted that serving elected council members would traditionally not chair the committee, leaving the role open to citizens and school representatives. Members asked for information on the expected duties so prospective candidates could prepare.
The board agreed to place the chair election on the January agenda and to notify Monica and Karen, who were excused from the current meeting, about the upcoming leadership discussion.
