Councilmember Bunn used a new-business opportunity on Oct. 14 to ask the city manager to prepare an agenda item proposing a change to the cityemployee holiday schedule. Bunn asked that all current half-day observances, such as the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve, be converted to full days off.

Bunn requested the city manager bring the item to council for consideration as early as the November meeting so the change could be reviewed and, if approved, scheduled before year-end. The manager acknowledged the request; no formal motion or vote was taken on the floor that evening.
