Richland 2 reports gains on 2024–25 SC Ready; leaders cite continued work on math recovery and special education supports

District academic leaders told the Richland School District Two board on Sept. 23 that students made measurable gains on the 2024–25 SC Ready assessments but that recovery in mathematics remains a focus area.
"Richland 2 has made some meaningful progress as a district in both math and ELA in elementary and middle school during the 24‑25 school year," said Jen Morrison, senior chief academic officer, attributing gains to sustained effort by teachers, principals, students and families.
Jennifer Coleman, executive director of accountability, summarized results and explained the state’s four achievement levels for SC Ready (exceeds expectations, meets expectations, approaches and does not meet).
