Waukegan CUSD 60 said the Waukegan School Foundation will host a Teacher Appreciation "Treat a Teacher" fundraiser on Tuesday, May 6 to support the foundation’s $1,000 teacher grants.

The district said Waukegan staff who show district identification at the event will receive 20% off entrees and be entered for door prizes. Proceeds will support the district’s teacher grant program intended to enhance classroom resources.

The district’s weekly update encouraged staff to participate and noted the fundraiser’s role in funding classroom grants.
