Administration said the compliance office professionals have been trained in EdPlan South Carolina and are collaborating with schools to schedule annual IEP reviews and meet deadlines.
The district is conducting both district-level and school-level staffing reviews to align personnel with student needs, and officials emphasized that special education compliance permits no middle ground: programs are either compliant or not. Trustees were told monthly LEA training sessions with administrators have started and that the district will continue monitoring to improve fidelity to legal requirements and instructional practices.
