Valley County approves $2,500 economic summit sponsorship; commissioners vote to enter executive session on real-property interest

Valley County commissioners on Oct. 15 approved a $2,500 annual sponsorship for the county’s Economic Summit and later voted to enter an executive session to discuss a potential interest in real property under Idaho Code 74-206(1)(c).

The sponsorship covers eight prepaid seats for county staff and provides event recognition; the summit is scheduled for Nov. 13, according to the treasurer’s remarks. Commissioners moved to approve the $2,500 sponsorship by motion and second; the motion passed.

Later in the meeting the board made and seconded a motion to go into executive session under Idaho Code 74-206(1)(c), which allows governing bodies to meet privately to discuss acquisition or disposition of real property when public discussion could jeopardize the transaction.
