San Miguel County commissioners appointed Kayla Bell on Oct. 15 to an alternate seat on the county Open Space Commission.
Janet (Parks and Open Space director) introduced Bell, citing volunteer work with Denver Botanic Gardens and experience in parks and recreation. Bell told commissioners she recently moved to the area, has attended Open Space Commission meetings and wants to contribute to local programming and planning.
The board voted unanimously to appoint Bell; staff said the appointment fills the commission’s alternate slot and brings the panel to its full complement.
