The district said the primary election date shifted from June 3 to June 10, so schools will be closed on June 10 instead of June 3. The board announced kindergarten enrollment is open and that preschool tuition will not increase this year.
During public comment, a resident asked about a cooperative purchasing arrangement run by Belleville. A district staff member described Belleville's cooperative as an optional purchasing entity the district can join to aggregate bids (for goods such as paper) and potentially secure lower prices.
Before adjourning to executive session, a motion to close the meeting and enter executive session carried on a voice vote. The presiding officer called for the roll and announced the motion carried.
