The Dade City Community Redevelopment Agency voted unanimously to approve the draft minutes of its July 8 meeting and to accept the CRA fiscal year 2022–23 audit report.
The approval of the draft minutes was moved and seconded and carried on a roll call vote of 5-0. Vice chair Woodard, Member Church, Member Constantino, Member Shive and Chairman Black all cast aye votes.
Catherine Van Ervin of CRA/planning staff presented the audit report and recommended the board formally accept it. "Staff is recommending approval, that the CRA board formally accepts the CRA audit report for the 20 22, 20 23 fiscal year," Van Ervin said. She told the board the CRA audit is prepared as a stand‑alone report as required by Florida statutes.
Van Ervin summarized the audit figures for the year ending Sept. 30, 2023: tax increment financing (TIF) revenue included $138,162 from Pasco County and $131,050 from the city; operating expenditures totaled $119,975; capital contributions and transfers to the primary government were $85,800. Operations produced an increase in the CRA fund balance of $63,437, resulting in an ending fund balance of $297,845 for FY 2022–23.
After a motion, a second and no additional public comment, the board voted 5-0 to accept the audit report. "Vice chair Woodard? Aye. Member Church? Aye. Member Constantino? Aye. Member Shive? Aye. Chairman Black? Aye," the roll call recorded.
The board took no further formal action on the audit beyond acceptance. The accepted audit will be part of the CRA's financial records and remains separate from the city of Dade City's general audit, as Van Ervin noted.
