Lawton Public Schools honors student for helping neighbor

Lawton Public Schools recognized student Talayla Brown for assisting a neighbor. During the meeting, a speaker described Brown stopping to help “a lady who was kinda disabled” finish yard work before attending softball practice and presented Brown with a Lawton Public Schools challenge coin in recognition of the act.

The acknowledgement occurred during the meeting’s recognition segment and was presented as a positive example of student conduct. No policy actions, votes, or follow-up tasks were discussed in connection with the recognition.
