Teaneck Board elects Ed Hoff president, installs new trustees and sets calendar, public-comment limits

The Teaneck Board of Education on Jan. 7 swore in three newly elected trustees, elected Ed Hoff as board president and Cassandra Reyes as vice president, and approved a series of governance items including changes to the 2025 meeting calendar and new limits on public comment and executive-session length.

The reorganization meeting at Teaneck High School began with the administration of oaths to three trustees elected in November: Jonathan Rodriguez, Jennifer Levy and Nadia Hussain. Trustee Jennifer Levy said during brief remarks that the newly seated trustees were “here to do our best for our Teaneck, to do our best for our students,” and pledged to serve the district’s pupils. Superintendent Dr. Spencer did not present a superintendent’s report at the reorganization meeting.
