Grass Valley City Council unanimously approved two consent items Tuesday: a memorandum of understanding amendment to add two fire department positions to an incident reimbursement provision, and an update to the city—s Local Agency Investment Fund signatories.
The first consent item amends a side letter covering the management supervisor professional confidential employee unit (Unit 1) to add two positions—the fire marshal and the EMS supervisor—so they receive the same incident deployment reimbursement as a battalion chief. A staff member said adding those positions helps the city keep trained personnel on large incidents and ensures the city is reimbursed for time deployed.
The second consent item changes authorized signatories on the city—s LAIF account. The administrative services director position was removed and the finance director and deputy finance director positions were added alongside the city manager to sign LAIF accounts, a staff member said.
Council members moved and seconded the motion to approve the consent calendar and voted by voice to adopt the items. The motion passed unanimously.
