Board of Health approves IBCCP provider agreement for Modern Family Health Medicine

The McHenry County Board of Health voted to approve a provider agreement with Modern Family Health Medicine to deliver services under the Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program (IBCCP).

Board members approved the contract by roll-call vote after staff said the agreement arrived after other similar IBCCP contracts brought to the board last month. The board recorded a 30-day termination clause in the contract. When a board member asked whether the money is federal or state, staff said the funding includes federal pass-through dollars and state funds.

The vote follows earlier discussion at the meeting about program budgeting uncertainties at the state level; staff said the county is awaiting further guidance from the state on IVCCP budgets.

The motion to approve was made on the floor and seconded; the clerk conducted a roll-call vote with all members present voting in favor. The board recorded the approval as a monetary/contract action and completed the formal roll-call for the consent. The item was carried as presented with no additional conditions.

The contract will be administered through the county's existing processes for IBCCP providers. Staff noted the state recently held a meeting about IVCCP and that there are outstanding budget questions to be resolved; staff said the county will report back once additional information is available.

No public comment or amendment to the contract was recorded during the board action. The board moved on to other agenda items after the roll call.
