McHenry County Board of Health approves contracts, annual report in unanimous votes

The McHenry County Board of Health voted to approve several administrative contracts and its 2024 annual report during its March 17 regular meeting in Woodstock.
The board approved a contract with Metopia to conduct the department's 2026 community health assessment, a routine but required element for certified local health departments, and voted to contract with a new TB medical director. The board also approved the consent agenda, minutes and the department's annual report.
Administrator Adamson introduced the Metopia contract and said the vendor was the lowest bidder and that the cost would be split with community partners including several hospital systems and a community foundation. The board made the Metopia contract motion and then held a roll call vote that passed.
The board then approved a contract to replace the departing tuberculosis medical director. Staff said the new arrangement will include support from Northwestern Medicine and that the terms mirror those under the outgoing director.
The annual report for 2024 was presented and approved by voice vote; the board also confirmed approval of the consent agenda and the minutes from February.
