Public-safety and public-works staff told trustees the organizers have coordinated early planning with the National Guard armory and expect a small number of military vehicles to participate this year. Staff said the cutoff for participant sign-ups was moved earlier to the end of April to allow logistical planning. A motion to forward the special event permit to the board passed by roll call.
