Roscoe board adopts 2025 budget, approves contracts and advances capital plan; CIP proposal due April 15

The Village of Roscoe Board on March 18 adopted an ordinance establishing appropriations for the 2025 fiscal year and approved a series of resolutions for law-enforcement systems, software access, park uses and redevelopment solicitations.

The board also heard a staff update on a proposed capital improvements plan — or CIP — that village engineers plan to present as a proposal on April 15, and received project updates on Bridge Street parking, a prospective Liberty Street property acquisition and park projects tied to an OSLID grant.

The ordinance adopted, listed as ordinance 2025-05, makes appropriations for the fiscal year beginning Jan. 1, 2025 and ending Dec. 31, 2025. The presiding Village President told the board the ordinance covers operating expenditures and capital improvements and said the total appropriations amount is "approximately $12,085,975.50." The board voted to adopt the ordinance.

The board approved payment of bills and payroll presented at the meeting. In the Treasurer's report the Village President reported itemized figures: bills of $103,699.86 and payroll of $110,472.51, for total expenditures submitted for approval of $214,172.37. The board moved and seconded approval and recorded the motion as passed.
