Under the revised policy, employees who work as "full‑time part‑time" (staff who work both summer and winter plowing seasons) and who work two consecutive seasons will qualify for the $175 annual steel‑toe boot reimbursement; safety‑eye protection up to $75 is also available.
Troy described the existing benefits for full‑time employees and explained the proposed extension to part‑time staff who meet the consecutive‑seasons requirement. Staff estimated two part‑time employees currently qualify; attendees said the additional $350 (two employees × $175) is available in the current budget.
A motion to adopt the policy change was made, seconded and approved by roll call. Staff will process reimbursements after employees meet the qualifying work requirement and submit receipts.
