Trustee Bach, who requested the agenda item, told the board he wanted two neighborhood representatives to confer with residents and present a consensus on preferred sign placement and appearance. “Give us kind of a template or a design. Give us something to work with and get your community involved,” he said. Trustees noted the village previously set aside $5,000 toward signs and asked the representatives to provide design examples and preferred locations for board consideration.
No formal vote was required; the board directed the named representatives to consult neighbors, work with village staff on permits and licensing, and report back with a recommendation for final approval.
