Committee recommends holiday event permit and several purchases; sends membership request to board

Hometown Holiday special-event permit: Trustees voted to recommend to the board a special-event permit for "Hometown Holiday" to be held on Long Main Street on Dec. 13 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The applicant estimated anticipated costs at $8,486.01 (rounded in discussion to about $8,500) and said sponsorship revenue would offset some expenses. The motion to forward the permit to the board was made by Trustee Justin Plock and seconded by Mike Simon; trustees present voted in favor.
