Beverly Planning Board continues Trask Lane hearing to Oct. 28 after staff, traffic commission requests

At its Oct. 7 meeting, the Beverly Planning Board granted a continuance for the public hearing on 0 Trask Lane after the applicant requested more time to respond to a staff report and a written recommendation from the parking and traffic commission.

Miranda Samasco, speaking on behalf of Corcoran Trask Lane LLC, told the board the applicant received the staff report that afternoon and that the parking and traffic commission chair asked the board not to take action until that commission’s written recommendation was entered into the record. Samasco said the project team wanted time to address items in the staff report and did not expect members would be ready to discuss conditions that evening; she apologized for the late notice and asked the board to continue the hearing to Oct. 28, 2025.

Chair Derek Beckwith asked for a motion. Planning Board member Weyner moved to continue the public hearing for 0 Trask Lane to Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025; the motion was seconded by Planning Board member Miller. The board voted in favor; the chair announced the vote was unanimous in the affirmative. The board noted one member, Miss Ashkenaz, was absent and ineligible to vote on the project because she was seated after the project had been brought to the board; the chair said the continuance did not count as a missed meeting because the board had not opened the hearing or discussed the project.

The continuance pauses formal consideration of conditions and any vote on the project until the Oct. 28 meeting, when the applicant and staff will have an opportunity to respond to the written recommendation from the parking and traffic commission and to address other points in the staff report.
