Officials used the meeting to announce two manufacturing investments in Tennessee. Radiant, described at the meeting as a company that manufactures micro nuclear reactors, committed to the state with about 180 new jobs and about $275,000,000 in capital investment. In Cleveland, in Bradley County, SK Food Group marked a ribbon-cutting for a facility tied to more than 800 jobs and about $200,000,000 in capital investment.
The announcements were presented as economic-development wins for the state and for East Tennessee specifically. A speaker at the meeting called Radiant a "cutting edge and innovative company" and said the company would "commit to our state." The meeting noted SK Food Group was announced earlier and that the company manufactures items sold in Starbucks stores; the speaker said, "if you buy a sandwich, you're buying their product." The meeting also included a brief closing remark that "we'll be back at this here again soon."
