The Wayne County committee approved a two-year comparable-source purchase order to continue supplying premium hay, feed and related supplies for the sheriff’s office canine and mounted units.
Bonita Terry, chief of administration for the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, told commissioners the agreement would run from Oct. 1, 2025, through Sept. 30, 2027, with a one-year renewal option. She said the vendor has been used in the past.
The transcript included an unclear dollar figure for the contract; staff described it verbally but the numeric amount was not clearly recorded on the audio transcript and is therefore not specified. Commissioners did not raise substantive policy questions on the item.
Commissioner Dobbs moved the purchase-order approval; Commissioner Wilson supported the motion and commissioners voted via tablets. The motion carried.
