Architects from HMFH described three “new at Pollard” variations and several compact options for a DeFazio site, showing differences in wing length, floor count and whether the auditorium would be built in a second phase. The committee asked for quicker, specific technical analysis of stormwater management, geothermal feasibility, wetlands impacts, accessibility and parking, and a traffic study that includes nights and weekends.
The decision to emphasize a unified sixth-through-eighth configuration reflected education staff presentations and past planning guidance, committee members said.
