Stow City’s Commission on Inclusion confirmed a dyslexia awareness event at Stow City Library for Nov. 18 and said Elizabeth and Jason will present. The library room is reserved from 6 to 9 p.m.; the presenters and the commission will finalize a start time and session length closer to the event.
Commission members said the program will cover dyslexia "through the ages," pairing a specialist presenter with a community member who has lived experience. The group discussed using a registration system so attendees receive reminders and about placing a short descriptive blurb in the commission’s print and web materials.
Members also discussed staffing an information table and providing printed materials and handouts at the event. The commission asked presenters to send a short (three-line) description and email addresses so the commission can produce promotional materials well in advance.
