Sunnyvale Zoning Administrator George Schroeder approved a use permit Sept. 10, 2025 for a Pilates studio (education, recreation and enrichment use) at 500 Lawrence Expressway, Unit H (file PONG20250367). The decision includes updated hours of operation in the conditions of approval and upgrades to bicycle parking.

Project planner Christian Mendoza reported no public contacts and described edits to the posted conditions of approval on hours of operation. The updated schedule divides weekly hours as follows: Monday–Thursday classes 6 a.m.–9 p.m. for four days, one day from 6 a.m.–7 p.m., and two days from 8 a.m.–7 p.m.; extended hours and temporary events would require additional review. Applicant Michelle Lou confirmed awareness and acceptance of the updated conditions.

Schroeder found the use consistent with the general plan and zoning requirements, noted adequate parking and required bike-parking upgrades to code, and approved the permit on Alternative 2 with modifications to Attachment 1 to reflect the revised hours. He reiterated the 15-calendar-day appeal period to the planning commission.

No public comments were made during the hearing. Schroeder closed the meeting at 3:22 p.m.
